A note from Oli, our founder.
Pregnancy is hard. Not only on the person carrying the baby, though that is the hardest part by a distance, but on everyone around them too. The body changes, the mind races, the expecting dad often feels useless, and our mum, our Wombie, quietly carries the lot.
The stress of the unknown can be a great deal to hold, especially the first time around. It builds during the pregnancy, and it builds again in those early weeks after the baby arrives. You are both running on broken sleep. Your hormones are doing things neither of you agreed to, and yes, that includes dad. Sometimes you snap, or say something you do not mean. It is new, uncharted territory, and nobody hands you a map.
Wombie Gear exists to interrupt that stress, even just for an afternoon. To send some real TLC to mum. To acknowledge, with a bit of humour, all the small things dad does that tend to go unnoticed. And underneath the jokes, to honour something true: that this is also one of the most beautiful and meaningful things you will ever go through, and that you go through it together, as a team.
Here is where it started, with the woman this page is named after. My name is Oli. Back in 2016, my wife fell pregnant with our first. That makes her, in the daft mythology that became this brand, our patient zero: the very first case, the one where it all began. To get her through the rougher days, I put together a small supply package filled with snacks and self-care bits. I am a gamer, and I will be honest, I needed a laugh about as much as she did. So I created a rough, tongue-in-cheek deployment graphic to present it as an emergency supply drop for surviving impending parenthood. It was primitive. It was daft. And it made us laugh at exactly the moment we needed to.
That scrappy little supply drop has grown up since. The original deployment graphic became the starting point for the Wombie Gear world, and eventually evolved into the Field Deployment Guide that now comes with every order. What began as a joke made on the couch has become a proper mission briefing, built to offer other expecting parents the same small moment of relief.
Wombie Gear is here to give your family that same lift, and to hand you something genuinely useful while we are at it: a tactical baby bag for when your Little Wombie arrives. Every bag is built on a MOLLE attachment system, so you can shape it as your Little Wombie grows and their needs change. Clip on a bottle holder, an extra nappy pouch, a snack bag, whatever this week calls for.
It also means the gift can grow. Family, friends and colleagues can send their support in pieces, adding as much or as little as they like. We built it to be given, especially to the expecting parents who are also gamers, self-declared nerds, and people who quite like something a little outside the standard-issue normal.

A Note on AI
We will be upfront with you: yes, we lean on AI, and we are not shy about it. It helps a small, independent brand like ours build a world this detailed, and deliver an experience with this much personality, at a scale we could not manage otherwise.
But AI is the assistant here, never the author. The story you are reading, the look of everything, the words and the feel of it all, still runs through real people. We work with local graphic designers, photographers, copywriters and other creatives to shape, sharpen and sign off on what we make. The humour, the heart and the judgment are theirs.
That is the line we hold: AI has a genuine place in delivering an experience, but it must never come at the expense of human creativity. The technology helps us do more. The people are what make it worth doing.
